God of War (2018) follows Kratos, a former Greek god, now living in the Norse realm of Midgard with his son, Atreus.
After the death of Kratos\' wife Faye, they set out on a journey to fulfill her final wish: to spread her ashes at the highest peak of all the realms.
Along the way, they face powerful enemies, including Baldur, a Norse god sent to find them. Kratos hides his godly past from Atreus, who slowly discovers his own divine nature.
The story explores their father-son relationship, Norse mythology, and the consequences of the gods’ actions.
By the end, it’s revealed that Faye was a giant named Laufey, making Atreus part god, part giant — and his real name is Loki.
